Chronimed Selected To Provide Specialty Pharmacy Services To Mutual Of Omaha Members

Agreement Provides Access to 1.3 million Mutual of Omaha Members

MINNEAPOLIS, December 15, 1999 -- Chronimed Inc. (Nasdaq: CHMD), announced today that it signed a contract with Mutual of Omaha for the distribution of transplant and injectable medications. This contract allows for provision of Chronimed's Specialty Pharmacy products and services to the roughly 1.3 million people currently covered by Mutual of Omaha's health insurance plans. In addition to pharmaceutical distribution, Chronimed will provide its proprietary Life Management ProgramsSM for Transplant and Injectables patients.

Under the terms of the agreement, Chronimed will be the primary national provider of these specialty pharmacy products and services. Commenting on the contract signing, Henry F.
